If you would like to enrol your child for our nursery, please come to the school office to complete an application form. Please return you application form to the school office or email it to our office staff on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will take your details and contact you when a place becomes available. Please note that completion of the application form does not mean that you have secured a place at the nursery.
Starting at Nursery
Children usually start in our nursery the September after their third birthday (3-4 years old). Before your child starts nursery, a member of our Early Years team will, where possible, visit you and your child at home.
A member of the team will make arrangements for you to visit the nursery and settle your child in gradually. Children may attend for morning, afternoon or full day sessions and parents can indicate a preference subject to the availability of places.
Your child’s hours at Nursery and their funding / payments
Henry Maynard Nursery offers the standard free 15 hours places available to 3 and 4 year olds, taken as either a morning or afternoon place. If you require extended hours, we are able to offer places for 30 hours funding. If you believe you are eligible for a funded place, please look up your eligibility on the Government website, from which you will be allocated a code, if you are successful. We also offer places for parents who wish to pay for up to 30 hours.
Our current nursery fees are: £26.00 a session with the option of purchasing a school lunch at the rate of £2.16 a meal
All fees are payable one month in advance.
Allocating a place
You will be contacted approximately one term before your child is due to start in September. Please ensure we have your most up to date contact details.
Come and bring your under 5’s to play at our Toy library in the main school hall from 9.00am to 11am on Thursday mornings, during term time only. You are welcome to stay for the whole session or drop in for a short period.
This is an opportunity to meet other parents and carers and for your child to make friends and become familiar with the Henry Maynard environment. At the end of the morning we have a group sing-a-long. The group is run by Sue, one of our Early Years Professionals.
We have a wide selection of books, puzzles and toys that you are welcome to borrow at no extra charge.
Tea and coffee and biscuits are also available throughout the session.
There is a charge of £1 per week to attend this group.
