January 2021 - COVID19 school partially open information

January 2021

Our school is currently partially open to vulnerable children, children with EHCPs or a social worker, looked after or post order children and children of critical key workers workers from Tuesday 5th January until further notice.

Please see attached letter for more details partial_opening_January_2021.pdf

For children in years Reception to Year 6 all lessons will be online using Google Classroom which will begin at 9am on Tuesday 5th January 2021.

Nursery will take part in story time zoom sessions each day and have access to tasks and learning on the Nursery remote learning page.

Children in school will be accessing online learning through Google Classroom with their classes.

Weekly assemblies will continue for all year groups from Reception to Year 6.

Please make sure your child is present at at least 1 of the register sessions with their class teacher. We have timetabled sessions during the day to create a clear timetable for families and to meet government online teaching expectations. We recognise that attending these is not always possible for all families due to work commitments, family choices and personal management of home learning. Our team will be making attendance phone calls (as we would in normal school time) to families who do not access a session each day so we can catch up with you as a family.

Ideas for learning offline and other website links are available on our remote home learning pages of the school website

Critical Key worker places in school.

If you are eligible for a critical key worker place in school please email the school office with your requirements and proof of key worker status.

Critical key worker worker families should consider sending their children to school if there is definitely NOT an adult at home that can look after them and if their work is critical the coronavirus (COVID-19) and EU transition response. This is to support our wider community and staff safety. The more children we have in school, mixing with different households the higher the risk is of increased spread of COVID19.

Please follow the below link for government Critical key worker information and criteria.
